Small Boat Harbour extension

The Association, on behalf of the municipality, manages the small boat harbour within the waterways that are built on land belonging to the Kouga Municipality. Demand for boat berths, during recent times, has outstripped supply.

In 2013 the Association revamped the existing berths within the small boat harbour and added 20 to the number of public berths, increasing the number from 56 berths to 76, which vastly improved the services provided to visitors and homeowners alike, as well as increasing income derived from jetty licenses.

These additions were built locally in the industrial area, designed by the Riparians, made with materials either recycled from the old jetties or bought by them, and using local labour employed directly by the Association.
